This sterling silver necklace features a symbol that alchemists used in the middle ages to encode their experiments. In the secret mystico-scientific labs of the alchemists, masters taught if some holy agent could be discovered, one could transmute base metals into gold, heal the sick, and revive the dead. To prevent their discoveries from falling into greedy hands, alchemists recorded all their experiments in symbols that denoted the metals, chemicals, and elements they used. This necklace was crafted by hand out of sterling silver in a small studio in Nepal. The gemstones are semi-precious and form a rich palette of color including a square faceted amethyst, a green faceted peridot, black onyx, garnet, emeralds , rubies and sapphire chips.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in color and sizing. Subtle shade variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements are approximate.
