The Pututo is an Andean trumpet made with a marine conch shell by talented Artisans from Lima. It has a very deep sound and the shell opening needs to be covered with one hand in order to produce a unique single note. The conch is removed from the bottom of the sea and conditioned to become a trumpet with a wooden mouth piece. The Peruvian legend tells that Inca Pachacutec would return to the life with the sound of this instrument.
