The Double Glaze Collection is created by Israeli artist Avihu Zur and handmade in his studio. Classic geometric shapes are sealed on both sides with fragments of ancient Roman glass, creating a double window effect. The oxidized and matte silver casement on the necklace has dots on its side and is suspended by a handmade hook wrought from 14-karat gold. Because the pieces have depth, there is space inside between the doubled glass, suggesting a secret place, set apart, quiet and pure. Each piece includes a story card about Roman glass.
Please do not get your jewelry wet. Treat it as if it were 2,000 years old. Avoid showering or swimming with your jewelry on, and don't use hairspray near it. It's recommended that you not even touch it frequently -- oils from your hands may alter the glass color and remove its luster. Clean the silver with a cloth, but try not to rub the ancient glass.
