This lovely set is designed by renowned Israeli designer Nurit Dagan Ovadia.
The sterling pieces are based on artifacts, clay jugs, and oil lamps, found not far from Ovadia's village near the ancient city of Beer Sheva. The silver is then shined or intentionally scratched with a diamond cut brush to give interest and definition and a contemporary feel to the pieces. She achieves a beautiful balance by stringing the most delicate 2 mm adventurine beads to compliment the bolder silver piece. The aventurines are a rare, semi-precious stone that elicit the lovely greens of summer gardens. The necklace is strung on monofilament, the strongest cord available to jewelers, and measures 18-in. long.
