While the woven rattan beautifully decorates both sides of the lamp, the back is solid wood. It provides very nice accent lighting, but is not designed to light up an entire room. Notice the detailed workmanship at each of the front corners. The three drawers provide a convenient space to store keys, change or other keepsakes. The fixture is designed to accommodate one 100 watt bulb (not included).
