The construction of the coasters starts by soaking the bamboo for up to one year. At that point, the soaked bamboo is cut into fine strips and shaped into the necessary form. This process is repeated until the entire piece has been shaped from the inside out. After a coating of glue is applied, the coasters are left to dry. The final phase is to provide a subtle lacquer finish that provides these gorgeous sets with an elegant, yet natural appearance.
