Display your international fashion flair with these African beaded necklaces.
Created by artisans in Ghana, these environmentally friendly pieces hold clear beads of recycled glass strung on a sterling silver chain. In a low-tech process available even to those with few resources and little education, artisans collect discarded glass, melt it down, add color, and cast it by hand into beads they string on sterling silver chains. The income from this local industry allows many families to better feed and educate their children.
Made with the lost-wax technique, handcast German silver forms a meaningful pendant for each necklace. A sterling silver toggle clasp finishes the design. Choose teal green beads with a Star of David pendant, amber beads with a Coptic cross, or denim blue beads with a Coptic cross.
Be sure to see the matching recycled glass beaded earrings and bracelets, also available on our site.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce slight variations in color, form and sizing. All measurements are approximate.
