It is told by the Cherokee that the Spider trapped the light from the darkness and brought light to the world. To the Navajo, Spider Woman taught the people the secrets of the loom which produce the magnificent Navajo rugs. The Spider also created the dream catcher to entangle bad dreams and only allow good dreams to pass. This pin was handmade by a group of Native American artisans in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area.
